Pacific Helmets Certification and Quality Man Salary Range: NZ$69,000.00 To NZ$110,000.00 Annually Job Description Position : Quality Manager Purpose and Role Description : The Quality Manager role is accountable for Pacific Helmets New Zealand quality management systems and external system audits (QMS / H&S / EMS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001). This includes the task of continuing to develop the systems required and implementing end to end, as well as improving the current ones to continuously improve and meet the companies lean, six sigma and quality goals. The purpose of the role is (but not limited to) : Own the Integrated Management System covering quality, health & safety, and environmental management. Be accountable for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audit readiness, external audits, management review and system performance. Lead governance of internal audits, corrective and preventative actions, compliance reporting and cross-functional process improvement. Provide leadership to the H&S / Environmental Officer and Quality Systems Lead. Coordinate product audit activities with support from the Product Certification Lead & Lab Manager. Hours of Work : The employee’s minimum hours of work are 40 hrs/week, primarily worked between 6am and 6pm Monday to Friday, unless agreed between the Employee and the Employer. Reporting Lines Role Reports To Core Mandate Quality Manager Managing Director Own and lead the company QMS, H&S management system and EMS; manage ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits; ensure internal audit programme, CAPA effectiveness, compliance reporting and system performance reviews are in place. Quality Manager Day-to-day ownership of H&S and environmental coordination, legal compliance registers, incident and hazard follow-up, staff awareness, site inspections, environmental action tracking and practical system deployment. Quality Systems Lead Quality Manager Document control, internal audit scheduling, CAPA / SCAR administration, quality data/KPI reporting, training/competency matrix support, management review support and system discipline. ISO 9001 audit readiness and external audits Core leadership responsibility for the company quality system. ISO 14001 / EMS ownership and audit readiness Critical to assign clear accountability at manager level due to current gap and audit risk. Health & Safety management system ownership Moves H&S into the formal management system structure, with dedicated specialist support below. Quality KPI reporting and management review pack preparation Supports structured system governance and review cadence. Sits within the QMS as controlled assurance activities, including defined sampling plans, test methods, acceptance criteria, and records. Owned at a system level, not tied to an individual role. General Responsibilities Take an active part in the leadership team and contribute to team goals and company strategy.
