Christchurch Girls’ High School | Te Kura oHine Waiora is seeking an enthusiastic Development and Engagement Officer tojoin our team. This advancement role is pivotal to growing our strategicpartnerships, building meaningful community engagement, and securing ourschool’s long-term sustainability. You will play a vital role in driving ourmarketing presence, managing key fundraising pipelines, and leading high-impactevents—including the planning and coordination of our landmark 150thAnniversary Celebrations (2027–2028) . Key Responsibilities Marketing& Brand Storytelling: Develop and implement strategic marketingplans to strengthen our brand, digital presence, and storytelling acrossmultiple platforms. Produce high-quality promotional materials, reports,and campaign assets. EventLeadership: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of majorschool events, with a primary focus on the upcoming 150th Anniversarycelebrations. Stakeholder& Alumni Engagement: Foster authentic, long-term relationshipswith alumni, parents (PTA), iwi, community partners, and key stakeholders. Fundraising& Strategic Partnerships: Identify, secure, and manage fundingstreams—including sponsorships, grants, donations, and commercialopportunities. ValuesAlignment: Embed the core values of Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga, Aroha, and Rangatiratanga into all engagement initiativesand embrace a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. What We Are Looking For Qualifications& Experience: A tertiary qualification in marketing,communications, or a related discipline— or equivalent practicalexperience in marketing, advancement, or community engagement is stronglypreferred. Marketing& Communication Skills: Proven ability to create compellingmarketing material, build a brand presence, and communicate persuasivelyacross varied digital and printed media. Event& Project Management Expertise: Highly organised with a trackrecord of delivering complex events and managing multiple prioritiesseamlessly. Relationship& Financial Acumen: Strong interpersonal skills to engage diverseaudiences, coupled with sound financial literacy in budgeting, grantapplications, and sponsorship pipelines. CulturalResponsiveness: A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi andculturally responsive practice within Aotearoa New Zealand. Why Join Us?
