Dairy Farm Assistant Needed in Omakau

We are looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant who must have at least 2-3 years dairy farming experience to join a 890-cow farm in the Omakau area, milking through a 54 Rotary Bale. You’ll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding virtual fencing/Halter, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows Setting fences and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 50. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paidat the agreed overtime rate. The schedule may vary; Roster will be 5 days on, 2 days off for the rest of the year. Salary ranges from $65,000 – $70,000 depending on experience. Candidatesare required to provide good related references.
