About the role We are looking for a Ward Clerk to join our team in theOlder Persons Health Service at Burwood Hospital. Ward D1 specialises inassessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients with Orthopaedic injuries. As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claimsettlement this role has beenmapped to National Band 3/Profile 3 (Step 1 to 3 - final placement step is dependent on skills,knowledge and experience) For further information about the administration andclerical pay equity settlement please followthe link below: Our clerical team provide a key role in the effectivefunction of our ward. The work involves transaction of admissions, discharges,transfers and management of patient records.Working in the reception areayou will be the first point of contact for patients, whanau, visitors andvarious hospital and health provider staff. In this role, you will be responsible for: Generalclerical and administrative tasks Enteringinformation to the patient management system Bookingpatients for clinic appointments Answeringphones and greeting patients and their families About you Skills and experience Havean eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in your work Bean excellent communicator and uphold a professional manner with patientsand colleagues Ideallyhave a health background or a basic understanding of medical terminology Beable to prioritise and keep calm in busy situations Databaseexperience is desirable Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
