Orchard Supervisor (Tauranga - Katikati)

We are seeking two experienced Orchard Supervisors to join our ApataGROW Kiwifruit teams working at our orchards based within the Te Puna or Tauranga areas, Bay of Plenty. In this full-time position, you will play a key role in supervising our on orchard teams and ensuring day-to-day operations are completed to a high quality and standard. What you'll be doing Supervising and coordinating the work of our orchard teams, including seasonal staff Liaising with the orchard management team to plan for orchard activities, resource requirements, and seasonal changes Monitoring crop health and growth, and implementing appropriate horticultural practices and quality as directed Maintaining detailed records of orchard activities and timesheets Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations Providing mentorship and training to less experienced team members What we're looking for Prefer a minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within a commercial horticulture operation Good practical knowledge of orchard management practices, including plant health, pest and disease control, and harvest planning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team Proficient in the use of horticultural equipment and technology Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused approach Qualifications a related field such as Growsafe is desirable but not essential Comfortable working with computers, MS applications and apps What we offer At Apata Group Limited, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive and collaborative work environment that values the contribution of every team member.
