Sybton Horticulture - Opotiki, North Island Sybton is a kiwifruit business based in Opotiki and Te Kaha, proudly developing and managing kiwifruit orchards since 2018. We currently manage approximately 70 hectares of kiwifruit across all three major varieties, including Red, Gold (G3) and Green Hayward (HW). Our business is focused on producing high-quality fruit while maintaining strong standards in orchard management, health and safety, and environmental stewardship. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Orchard Supervisor to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our operations and to assist with the day-to-day management and operations of our kiwifruit orchard. Key responsibilities Supervise and coordinate orchard staff and contractors. Oversee seasonal activities including pruning, thinning, spraying, harvesting, and general orchard maintenance. Monitor orchard health, irrigation, and nutrition programmes. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Maintain accurate records and reports. Assist with crop estimation and quality management. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and industry standards. About you Previous experience in the kiwifruit industry with a minimum of 3 years' and experience in orchard operations or supervision. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage staff and organise daily work programmes. Good understanding of health and safety practices. A full New Zealand driver's licence is preferred.
