We have offices in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. About the Role We are looking for an Radio/Electronics Technician to join our Wellington team. The role is based in our Petone workshop, and attending ships at the port. Work is primarily in Wellington, with some travel to ports in the central NZ. This role offers a high level of variety and would suit someone with a keen interest and knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, be a great problem solver, have a clean and professional appearance and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault-finding of commercial marine electronics systems Working on navigation, communication, safety, fire, and control systems Attending vessels in port and occasionally at sea Completing service documentation and reports accurately Working in accordance with health and safety requirements Skills & Experience Experience in an Radio, electronics, or telecommunications field service role. Formal Electrical or Electronics or Radio qualification. Able to read Schematic Drawings. Current EWRB Practising Licence (Electrician, EAS, or EST) is highly desirable. Knowledge of data communications such as Modbus, NMEA etc. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good computer literacy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to travel domestically and internationally Full New Zealand driver's licence.
