About The Role As a Butchery 2IC, you will play a crucial role in our department. This hands-on leadership position involves working closely with our Butchery Manager to ensure that we deliver outstanding products and services. You will have the opportunity to create exciting new offerings and help develop the next generation of butchers. What You Will Be Doing In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Include Cutting, trimming, and preparing a diverse range of quality meat products. Assisting the Butchery Manager in the daily operations of the department. Coaching and developing our apprentice and junior butchers. Creating and introducing new value-added products to keep our offerings fresh and engaging. Ensuring our meat bar is well-stocked, fresh, and visually appealing. Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service, assisting customers in selecting the right products. Maintaining high food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards. Utilizing SAP for stock control, ordering, and departmental processes. Collaborating with the team to keep the department well-presented and ready for trade. What We Are Looking For A qualified or highly experienced butcher. Previous leadership or supervisory experience. Familiarity with SAP. A passion for innovation and product development. A commitment to mentoring and coaching team members. Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards. Excellent communication and customer service skills. A positive attitude and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. What's In It for You?
