About the role Emergency Mental Healthprovides 24-hour assessment, treatment and support for people experiencingserious mental health issues. The team comprises of Registered Nurse, AlliedHealth, Psychology and Medical professionals and is supported by a strong anddynamic multi-disciplinary leadership group. The psychologist works withinMonday to Friday business hours. We are seeking an experiencedand enthusiastic Psychologist to join our team. What makes this role unique isthe opportunity to shape the role of psychology within the team and share yourskills in clinical interventions with colleagues. About You In this role, you will beresponsible for: Undertakingmental health assessments utilising clinical interviewing, diagnostic,behavioural and appropriate profession specific assessment; Formulating and delivering appropriate interventionplans. Psychology within EmMHS tends to offer1-3 sessions of input, though at times up to 6. Bringinga psychology lens to MDT meetings Your skills will include: Excellent assessment and formulation skills and a soundknowledge of available treatment options . Experiencewith various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT and MI. Provenorganisational skills combined with excellent communication skills thatenable you to work effectively within the team and with the variousnon-clinical stakeholders in this role; CurrentNZ Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate is essential; Clinicalscope of practice is also essential for Psychologists; Acurrent Full Driver's License is required. In addition to generalservice training, specific professional development through ongoing educationis supported. EmMHS works from the same building as the adult community serviceteams/sector bases, and there is a lot of opportunity to interact with otherclinical psychologists, both informally and in a range of special interestgroups and peer supervisions.
