We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Training Solutions Developer to join our Qualifications Group. In this role, you will project manage the design, development, and ongoing review of MITO training programmes and products, ensuring they are fit for purpose, meet NZQA requirements, and are informed by meaningful industry consultation and engagement. You will convene and facilitate Industry Reference Groups, manage consultation processes, contribute to business cases for new training solutions, and support the development and review of programmes, micro-credentials, and other training solutions that meet industry needs. You’ll also analyse programme development trends, report on changes affecting programmes, resources, industry, and learners, and help ensure MITO’s training solutions remain current, high-quality, and aligned to the needs of the sectors we serve. This is a highly rewarding role for someone who can work across both strategic and operational detail, build strong relationships, and deliver quality outcomes through effective project management, consultation, and analysis. Previous experience working with competency-based assessment, preferably unit standards Knowledge of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, particularly in relation to work-based industry training Experience facilitating or working with industry groups Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to manage extensive networks Research skills, including the ability to analyse data and prepare clear reports The ability to manage consultation processes and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse complex information and develop informed recommendations Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to influence groups with strongly held views Advanced computer skills in a Windows environment A commitment to quality practice, health and safety, and meeting relevant statutory and organisational requirements.
