Advisor, Ministerial and Executive Services Enabling Services | Ministerial and Executive Services Wellington Fixed Term or secondment up to six months Salary: $81,380 - $107,932

We have a fixed term or secondment opportunity for an experienced Advisor to join the Ministerial and Executive Services (MAES) team at Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission. This role supports the delivery of efficient and high‑quality ministerial and executive services to the Commission and its stakeholders. The MAES team is also the Commission's key point of contact with the Office of the Minister for the Public Service and Digitising Government. Te Kawa Mataaho leads the public service to make a positive difference for Aotearoa New Zealand and New Zealanders. As the steward of the public service and home of the Office of the Head of the Public Service, we set direction, role model what good looks like, and support the system to deliver the results and services that matter most. About the role\n- \n
- Provide high‑quality advice and coordination to support ministerial and executive processes \n
- Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the Commission \n
- Contribute to a small, agile team with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness \n
- Build your experience in handling sensitive information and complex issues at the centre of government \n

- Experience working in a Ministerial Services team, Minister's office, or Chief Executive's office, with confidence engaging and advising senior leaders \n
- Strong organisational skills, initiative, and a collaborative approach \n
- The ability to build effective working relationships across the Commission \n
- Clear, trusted written and oral communication skills \n
- Experience drafting Official Information Act responses, ministerial correspondence, including Written and Oral Parliamentary Questions, and select committee material \n
- A sound understanding of the Official Information Act and experience managing complex and sensitive information \n
- A commitment to high standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness \n
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset \n

\nSalary The full salary range for the band is$81,380 - $107,932. We typically look to appoint to role between $81,380 to $99,804 depending on skills and experience.
Requirements\nTo be appointed to this position, you must be able to obtain and maintain a Confidential security clearance.
