Job Description

We are looking a Fleet Manager in Auckland, who will be responsible for overseeing the company's vehicle fleet to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. You will be required to work from Monday to Friday with minimum 30 hours and maximum 45 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operation and scheduling of the company fleet.
  • \n
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained, serviced and inspected according to company standards and legal requirements.
  • \n
  • Monitor vehicle registrations, licensing, Warrant of Fitness (WoF) and insurance.
  • \n
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimise vehicle downtime.
  • \n
  • Monitor fuel usage, vehicle performance and operating costs, identifying opportunities for savings and improved efficiency.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with all road transport regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
  • \n
  • Supervise and support drivers including onboarding, training and performance management.
  • \n
  • Investigate vehicle incidents and implement corrective actions where required.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate fleet records, maintenance logs and compliance documentation.
  • \n
  • Coordinate with external service providers, repair workshops and suppliers.
  • \n
  • Prepare reports on fleet performance, maintenance costs and operational efficiency for management.

Skills and Experience

    \n
  • You should have at least 2 years of freight handling Industry Work Experience or Level 5 or higher diploma qualification (Subject area Flexible)
  • \n
  • Understanding of New Zealand transport regulations and health and safety requirements.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • \n
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • \n
  • Clean Character Background
  • \n
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazard conditions.
  • \n
