You’ll take ownership of IT operations and cyber security, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and fit for purpose—while working closely with internal teams and expert technology partners. Key Responsibilities Deliver CISO accountabilities for NZIAT Own vendor relationships and ensure seamless IT service delivery Lead day‑to‑day cyber security and manage risks and incidents Support strong data governance and compliance practices Provide hands‑on IT support and onboarding for staff Improve systems and deliver practical, business‑focused solutions Continuously enhance systems, processes, and security capability You’ll also act as the organisation’s go‑to security lead, helping embed a strong, proactive security culture. About You You’re a proactive and adaptable IT professional who enjoys being close to the business and making things work. You’re equally comfortable troubleshooting issues, managing vendors, and lifting security maturity. You’ll bring: Solid experience in IT support, systems, or operations Exposure to cyber security (e.g. incidents, vulnerabilities, vendors) Strong vendor management and stakeholder skills Understanding of data governance, privacy, and risk Confidence supporting modern workplace tools and users The ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, practical way Based in Auckland and able to work on‑site in our modern, centrally located offices.
