Cleaning Supervisor – Lakes District Hospital (Queenstown) ISS is a leading workplace experience and facility services company, providing cleaning, catering, and support services to clients across New Zealand. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Lakes District Hospital in Queenstown. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, maintaining high standards, and ensuring exceptional service delivery in a healthcare environment. About the Role As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of our cleaning services, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead by example, coach your team, and build strong relationships with both ISS staff and our client. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Specific days and hours will be discussed during the recruitment process. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and support a team of cleaning staff Coordinate daily work allocations and shift coverage Conduct quality inspections and ensure cleaning standards are consistently achieved Train, coach, and develop team members Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance management Monitor stock levels and order cleaning supplies Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and infection prevention protocols Build positive relationships with hospital staff and key stakeholders Assist with hands-on cleaning duties as required About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, ideally within cleaning, healthcare, hospitality, or facilities management Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team Excellent organisational and time management skills Good computer literacy and confidence using mobile technology A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement A strong focus on health, safety, and quality Previous experience in healthcare cleaning is highly regarded but not essential.
