Deli & Seafood Manager - Full Time

New World Pioneer is a large, locally owned and operated supermarket in Palmerston North. As a team we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards throughout our store. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deli & Seafood Manager to lead one of our busiest fresh food departments. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader who enjoys working with fresh food, developing people, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. About the Role As Deli & Seafood Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the department, ensuring it is well stocked, visually appealing, and consistently delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. You'll lead and develop a dedicated team, manage ordering and inventory, create eye-catching displays, maintain food safety and health & safety standards, and identify opportunities to grow sales and continually improve department performance. You'll also work closely with suppliers and the wider leadership team to ensure the department continues to grow and succeed. This is a hands‑on role, so you'll be just as comfortable preparing and serving customers as you are coaching your team, planning ahead, and managing department performance.
