We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electronic Security Technician to join our team in Whangarei. The role is a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. You will also be required to participate in our 24/7 afterhours on-call service on a rostered basis. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Install, program, test, and commission CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, and intercom systems. Carry out system upgrades, expansions, and modifications. Diagnose faults and perform reactive service and repairs. Respond to after-hours callouts as part of an on-call roster. Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities. Maintain accurate service and installation records. Deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE As you'd expect, technical skills are important. We'll be looking to be impressed by your solid background working with access control and CCTV systems, and your knowledge of IT systems and networking. Equally vital though will be your ability to strike up a conversation and communicate well with both clients and colleagues. Minimum 3 Years of relevant security industry experience preferred Electrical trade or related technical experience preferred Proven experience with access control systems (Gallagher, Integriti, Protégé) is advantageous Proven experience with CCTV systems (Milestone, Avigilon, Panasonic) is advantageous Strong knowledge of IT systems and networking (servers, switches, firewalls). Excellent written and verbal communication, with good interpersonal and customer service skills. Accurate and methodical work habits, a strong work ethic, and reasonable fitness.
