Our client is a well‑established CA firm on the Hibiscus Coast, looking for a driven BAS Accountant to join their collaborative, client‑focused team. The role is based in the Silverdale area and offers strong development, variety, and genuine work‑life balance. The firm works with a diverse client base ranging from SMEs and property developers to trusts, sole traders, and larger multi‑entity groups (including clients with turnover up to $40million). About the role You’ll manage your own portfolio, work directly with clients, and produce high‑quality compliance work across a wide range of industries. The role suits someone who is confident, organised, and able to operate without close supervision. You’ll work alongside experienced senior accountants and a hands‑on Director who provides review and support. Over time, you’ll have opportunities to contribute to the firm’s expanding advisory services as they continue to evolve beyond compliance. Key responsibilities include: Managing a portfolio of clients and being their primary point of contact Preparing financial statements, tax returns, GST, and management reporting Reviewing work (depending on experience) Supporting advisory projects as the service line grows Working confidently in Xero and Office 365 Contributing to a collaborative, senior‑level team environment Our client has kept the brief broad to attract a strong range of candidates, which is reflected in the salary band - spanning high‑end intermediate through to accomplished senior level. About you You may be a Senior Accountant or a strong Intermediate ready for the next step. What matters most is capability, independence, and a proactive mindset. 3–5+ years’ BAS experience in a CA environment Strong Xero skills; tech‑savvy and comfortable with Office 365 Able to work independently with minimal hand‑holding Confident communicator with strong client‑facing ability CA/CPA qualification helpful but not essential Interest in future progression or advisory work is a bonus Culture & flexibility This firm offers a relaxed, supportive environment with flexibility.
