Sheetmetal Tradesperson

ITSS Engineering is seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Workshop Tradesperson to join our team in Warkworth, Auckland. In this full-time role, you will be heavily involved completing varied workload of our sheetmetal workshop, ensuring efficient and high-quality Lightfab production to meet the needs of our clients. What you'll be doing Assist with completion of jobbing work within our sheetmetal fabrication team, ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols and quality standards Liaise with customers both in workshop environment and onsite Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other workshop employees including apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement Liaise with internal Managers, Supervisors and Co-Ordinators to understand requirements and deliver projects on time and within budget Assist with workshop performance, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal productivity Ensure all workshop activities adhere to relevant industry regulations and ITSS Engineering's policies and procedures What we’re looking for Minimum 5 years' experience as a sheetmetal tradesperson Strong technical knowledge of sheetmetal fabrication, including proficiency in reading engineering drawings, operating machinery and quality control Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines Good understanding of Solidworks drafting package is an advantage Good understanding of dust extraction system fabrication and operation is an advantage Proven track record of effectively managing and motivating teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in sheetmetal fabrication or engineering What we offer At ITSS Engineering, we are committed to supporting the professional and personal growth of our employees.
