About the Role Are you a Registered Nurse or Social Worker, with a passion for working in the areas of family violence? This is an exciting opportunity to join our Whāngaia Ngā Pā Harakeke (WNPH) team which is a Police led initiative to reduce family harm by working collaboratively with partner agencies. The health clinician will be an active part of the daily Safety Assessment Meeting (SAM), in order to share health information and contribute to the development of safety plans alongside partner agencies and is based at the SAM tables, which work from the Henderson Police Station, and Oranga Tamariki Takapuna site. Working across interagency environments, the Senior Health Clinician contributes to multi-agency decision-making and collaborates closely with statutory and community partners to coordinate responses. The position also delivers, education and training, and supports service development, quality improvement, and reporting across programmes. About Us Health New Zealand Waitematā provides health services to approximately 650,000 residents of the North Shore, Waitakere, and Rodney areas. It has the largest population of any district health area. About you To be successful in this role, you’ll be a Registered Nurse or Registered Social Worker, and hold a current annual practising certificate as such. You’ll hold a relevant tertiary qualification in health or social sciences, and have a minimum of 5 years post-registration work experience. Post graduate education in the area of child protection or family violence would be highly advantageous. Experience working with children, families, and vulnerable populations, as well as working in multidisciplinary or interagency environments, and in the areas of child protection or family violence, is required.
