About the Role In this leadership role, you will elevate frontline practice across our rangatahi and whānau-centred service grounded in mātauranga Māori and tikanga. You will strengthen the quality, consistency, and integrity of our collective response by developing kaimahi capability through reflective practice, coaching, and continuous service improvement. Key Responsibilities Kaimahi Development: Build capability through coaching, reflective practice, observed practice, feedback, and strengths-based development planning. Quality & Accountability: Lead high-quality assessment, whānau planning, safety planning and case reviews. Collaboration: Strengthen integrated practice with Māori providers, community organisations, and government partners. Continuous Improvement: Centre practice insights into service delivery, ensuring whānau dignity, self-determination, and wairua remain at the centre. Skills & Experience Qualifications: A relevant qualification in Social Work, Youth work, Kaupapa Māori practice, or a related discipline. Proven Experience: Demonstrated professional credibility and experience in Whānau Ora, Kaupapa Māori, health, or social services. Core Skills: Exceptional facilitation, coaching and report writing. Licence: A current, clean, full New Zealand driver's licence is essential. About Us Tākiri Mai te Ata is a well-established whānau ora collective of health, education, justice, and social service providers across Wellington, Porirua, and the Hutt Valley working together for more than 45 years. Our initiative, Te Hā o Anamata (The Breath of the Future), is a new initiative transforming how Te Awa Kairangi supports tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau facing complex justice, education and social challenges.
