Job Purpose As the Training Manager based in Upper Hutt, you will oversee the quality and delivery of all training throughout the Lower North Island. Your role will focus on fostering a culture of excellence where quality training is delivered efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all training delivery within the Region, ensuring high-quality, compliant and consistent outcomes Provide operational leadership, coaching and support to employed trainers, with professional oversight of contracted trainers and assessors Ensure all training and assessment activities meet VHNZ quality systems, NZQA and regulatory requirements Manage trainer capability, including onboarding, observations, moderation, compliance, performance reviews and professional development Monitor learner and client feedback, driving continuous improvement in training quality and delivery Oversee training resources, equipment and venues to ensure they are fit-for-purpose, compliant and within budget Champion health and safety across all training activities, embedding proactive risk management and safe work practices Person Specification Experience leading or supporting trainers in vocational, technical, or compliance-based training Strong understanding of quality, assessment, and regulatory compliance requirements Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and resources effectively Confident communicator with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach Committed to safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement Company Culture At VHNZ, we believe that our people are our greatest asset.
