Your work will include: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing Working on wheel loaders, excavators, log loaders, material handlers, terminal tractors and other specialist equipment Mentoring an apprentice mechanic Completing maintenance records and working closely with operations to minimise downtime Contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining high safety standards About you: You’ll ideally have: A recognised Heavy Automotive Engineering qualification (MITO or equivalent) Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems A commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety The ability to mentor and support junior team members A full New Zealand Driver Licence Class 2 and 4 licences with W, T & R endorsements (advantageous) Availability to participate in an on-call roster About our client: Widely recognised as New Zealand's market leader in port logistics and cargo handling, they have a large team across 11 locations nationwide.
