Manual Machinist - Precision Engineering Mason Tool and Engineering LTD – Wiri, North Island As a Manual Machinist, you need to have the following competencies and skills: Operate and maintain manual lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality components Work from engineering drawings to meet tight tolerances Communicate and collaborate to solve engineering problems and delight customers Ensure safety and quality standards are upheld at all times What We’re Looking For As a Manual Machinist, you need to have the following competencies and skills: Trade qualification in mechanical engineering (e.g. Fitter Turner or equivalent) Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manual machining role. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with precision Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality A proactive attitude and good communication skills The following skills would also be an advantage. Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems (e.g. Fusion 360, Mastercam, SolidWorks) Solid understanding of CNC lathes and milling machines Light engineering fabrication and assembly. Welding proficiency (MIG, TIG, Arc), sheet metal fabrication, use of fabrication tools, and material knowledge. #J-18808-Ljbffr
