The General Medicine team is made up of Consultants with a wide range of subspecialty interests, offering residents valuable exposure and mentorship within a supportive learning environment. The organisation is grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, with a commitment to equitable, culturally safe healthcare for all New Zealanders. You will be part of a dynamic and collegial General Medicine department that provides a broad range of subspecialty exposure. Working under the supervision of experienced Consultants, providing care across medical wards, ICU, A&E, and outpatient clinics. Your responsibilities will include acute admissions, ward rounds, outpatient follow-ups, and participation in stress ECG testing. There are also opportunities for you to take part in ongoing education, including MTD meetings, weekly journal clubs, and CME activities.
