General Manager – Parish Operations, Governance & Community Impact The Community of St Luke – Auckland, North Island Lead a thriving Christian Community; build partnerships; create lasting social impact St Luke's Presbyterian Church is seeking an experienced, values-driven and strategic GM or C-suite leader to lead and help shape the next chapter of one of Auckland's most progressive theology and community-focused churches. Reporting to the Parish Council and working closely with the Minister, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across church operations, community engagement, partnerships, communications, fundraising, property, governance and the Centre for the Common Good . This newly created executive leadership role requires someone who is equally comfortable contributing at Parish Council level on strategic funding and growth, while also rolling up their sleeves to deliver practical outcomes. The role will be assisted by a part-time Admin/Digital Coordinator and volunteers of various Parish functions. You will help strengthen St Luke's Christian mission by working closely with the Minister and while expanding St Luke’s reach and impact across the wider community. Your leadership will focus on two complementary areas: Strengthening St Luke's Christian mission - Working alongside the Minister, you will help create a welcoming, vibrant and inclusive church where people feel connected, valued and inspired. You will support worship, music, events, community programmes and outreach that bring faith into everyday life and strengthen St Luke's presence in Auckland. Leading the Centre for the Common Good - You will continue growing St Luke's respected community outreach initiative by developing partnerships, increasing participation, securing funding and delivering programmes that create meaningful social impact. This project is already underway. Key responsibilities Strengthen St Luke's mission, ministry and community life. Build relationships with parishioners, volunteers, community organisations, donors, businesses and government. Lead community engagement, outreach and social justice initiatives. Support worship, music, events and the effective use of church facilities. Grow fundraising, sponsorship, grants and other sustainable income. Oversee property, operations, budgets, governance, compliance and assisting with Parish Council meeting reports. Lead and support an administration coordinator and volunteers. Promote St Luke's through creating communications, storytelling and digital engagement. About you; You are an experienced strategic leader who also enjoys delivering on day-to-day outcomes and working closely with your team. You enjoy building relationships, revenue growth, creating opportunities and bringing people together around a shared purpose. Ideally you will bring: An understanding of, and commitment to, working within a progressive Christian faith community. Executive leadership experience in the community, charitable, business or public sector. Strong financial, IT/Digital, organisational and project management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. A collaborative leadership style with the energy to inspire others and deliver results. A genuine passion for community wellbeing, social justice and making a positive difference. You do not need to be ordained, but you will be comfortable representing and helping give practical expression to St Luke's Christian faith, values and mission.
