Thames Emergency Department (ED)operates 24/7, and in this vital role, you'll be rostered across aseven-day schedule, ensuring seamless support to our busy team. This role will require you to work a mix of all shifts morning/afternoon/nights You will also be required to cover other areas in our admin team. Thisfast-paced and rewarding role offers plenty of variety.You'll be at the frontline of patient care, creating a welcoming environment for patients and their whānau,while providing essential support to our clinical staff, making this position a vital part of our hospital community. About Thames Thames Hospitalis a modern 50-bed secondary care facility offering a comprehensive range of services, including an emergency department, inpatient care, day surgery, an infusion unit, rehabilitation services, birthing unit and low-acuity mental health care. Our hospital boasts 24-hour laboratory and radiology services, including advanced CT imaging. As an accredited training hub, we support 5th and 6th-year medical students from Auckland University, PGY2 House Officers, and registrars in Rural Hospital Medicine and General and Acute Care Medicine. We offer a robust quality improvement program, CME opportunities, and a RMO teaching program. Telehealth is expanding at Thames, supporting inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and emergency services like stroke thrombolysis.
