Job Description
Our Company Meyer Cruden Engineering is a leading provider of pavement engineering solutions in New Zealand. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions for national and local projects alike. The Position Due to an increase in workload, we are looking for a dedicated Pavement Engineer to join our established team. In this role, you will work on national and local roading projects, ranging from RONS to rural roads. Our clients include NZTA, local authorities and the private sector. The work will involve pavement and surfacing forensics and design, alongside renewals forward work programming. There will be plenty of variety in your workflow. We operate a flat structure, and growth opportunities in this role will be significant. We are focused on getting the right person who fits well into our established, close-knit team. As such we will consider a range of experience levels, providing training and mentoring as needed. The position involves the following specific activities: Pavement and surfacing design from first principles. Renewals forward work programming, from strategy development through to field validation. Preparation of pavement-related technical and contract documents. Pavement construction supervision, asset management advice, and contract administration. General project administration The Ideal Candidate will bring the following skills and attributes: A strong focus on collaboration and fitting well into an established team environment; A positive attitude, excellent communication, and organizational skills; At least 2 years of New Zealand-pavement design or asset management experience; AustPADS and/or Circly experience. Juno and AWM experience. Minimum Qualifications Required: NZ Diploma in Civil Engineering (or higher); or Chartered Engineer (CPEng) candidates will also be highly considered, with the role expanded to suit your technical qualifications and leadership experience.
