We have a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) opportunity for a motivated Kaiwhakaako - Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to make a significant impact and develop their career in teaching, research, and service. We’re open to expertise across areas relevant to ourSchooland are particularly interested in applicants who will purposefully engage in the co-design and implementation of the undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes. The department commits to a Te Tiriti curriculum with the successful applicant collaborating with kaupapa Māori and interweaving mātauranga aligned with the competencies of Te Kaunihera Tiaki Niho o Aotearoa. The Kaiwhakaako will contribute to existing mātauranga Māori and be supported to share mahi with other Māori working in this space. We embrace practice-led, research-informed approaches to teaching for transformative student experiences that uplift communities. Your contributions to programme and course development will support our continuous-improvement focus. You will teach across programmes as assigned by the Head of School and be comfortable using digital resources to enhance learning. You will publish actively in your specialised field/s. Experience contributing to Indigenous, equity, or inclusion-focused initiatives is highly valued. The selection criteria sought are: Qualification: A doctoral qualification in health (or a related field) or a postgraduate qualification Registered Nurse in Aotearoa New Zealand with a current annual practising certificate Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake Research: An early-career academic will have the basis of a solid research pipeline and a job market paper available. More experienced candidates will already have a more established research programme and a proven research track record with quality publications and ideally also success in external funding bids. Evidence of proactively pursuing external research income is desirable. (Lecturers) Evidence of securing or contributing to external research income is desirable. (Senior Lecturers) Teaching: An early career academic will ideally have at least some previous teaching assistant experience. More experienced candidates will have previous lecturing experience, evidence of curriculum development, and preferably experience supervising Master's and/or PhD students.
