Junior ICT/ELV / Security Technician

G&S Technologies is looking for a motivated Junior ICT / ELV / Security Technician to join our Bay of Plenty team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology, solving problems and learning new skills. You don't need years of experience—we're looking for someone with the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Working alongside experienced technicians, you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies while building a long-term career in the ICT and ELV industry. The Role You will assist with the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of a variety of ICT, security and ELV systems, including: CCTV and IP video surveillance systems Electronic access control systems Nurse call and healthcare communication systems Intercom and door entry systems Structured data cabling Fibre optic cabling and testing WiFi and network infrastructure MATV systems Paging and communication systems Fault finding and preventative maintenance Full training will be provided by our experienced technical team. About You To be successful in this role you will: Have a genuine interest in technology and electronics Enjoy working with your hands and solving problems Be reliable, punctual and take pride in your work Have a positive attitude and be eager to learn Be able to work independently and as part of a team Have good communication and customer service skills Hold a full New Zealand driver's licence (essential) Previous experience in ICT, security, electrical, telecommunications, structured cabling or construction would be an advantage, but is not essential.
