Experienced Phase 1 (Year 1-3) teacher

Macleans Primary School – Bucklands Beach, North Island Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, experienced classroom teacher who has experience in junior school(Year 1–3) teaching. This position is a Year 3 permanent position that will start on the 31 August 2026. If you are a fully registered primary teacher you will be suitable to apply for this position. You will be working collaboratively in a team of 3 teachers with a fantastic team leader. The teachers in the team are team players and very supportive who live our Macleans values of respect, responsibility and cooperation. Structured Literacy and Structured Maths are embedded into our classroom programmes and we follow an authentic approach in teaching and learning. At Macleans Primary School we follow the IDEAL scope and sequence in Structured Literacy and in Maths we follow the Oxford programme. At Macleans Primary School students learn new skills and enhance their knowledge through Inquiry based learning. We have an emphasis on student wellbeing and we make sure that we equip our Macleans learners with skills and strategies to verbalise their feelings to support them effectively so that they can learn.
