You will be involved in a broad range of accounting, reporting,reconciliation, payroll support, and finance administration activities, helpingensure the smooth operation of our finance function. Working closelywith the wider Finance team, you will contribute to accurate financialreporting, statutory compliance, payroll support, month-end processes, andcontinuous improvement initiatives across the business. About you: 1 to 2 years' accounting experience within acorporate environment or chartered accounting practice A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting,Finance, or a related discipline Sound understanding of accounting principles andNew Zealand financial reporting standards Knowledge of payroll processes, employmentlegislation, and taxation requirements Agenuine passion for accounting and a strong desire to build a long-term career in the profession Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and a commitment toaccuracy A collaborative approach and willingness to supportthe wider team On a dailybasis you will: Assist with the preparation of monthly managementaccounts and reporting Prepare balance sheet reconciliations andinvestigate variances Support the preparation of Board reporting andstatutory accounts Assist with GST, FBT, and other regulatory returns Prepare and maintain accounting working papers andregisters Reconcile bank transactions and support dailyfinance administration activities Prepare payment batches and ensure financialcontrols are followed Assist with lease accounting and audit preparation Complete reporting requirements for external bodiesincluding Statistics NZ, RBNZ, and FMA Provide payroll support and act as backup forpayroll processing when required Maintain finance process documentation and identifyopportunities for improvement Support the Finance team with projects and ad hoctasks as required Whyus?
