Practice Nurse - Primary Care & Well-Child Care

JOB PURPOSE The Practice Nurse provides quality, accessible primary health care nursing services and supports patient interventions and treatment in targeting clients to achieve good clinical and non-clinical outcomes. The nurse will work with General Practitioners and other core members of the Primary Health Care team. CORE COMPETENCIES AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS A current Annual Practicing Certificate according to NZ Nursing Council requirements Competent in Medtech Evolution Experienced in triaging patients Venepuncture skills, including blood tests and IVL insertion Experience in wound management Capable of managing long term conditions The ability to work independently and part of a team, and show initiative and accountability for own actions Full clean New Zealand Driving License Must have New Zealand Residency or Citizenship With primary care experience. WELL CHILD NURSE We are also looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Well Child Nurse to supportPacific children and all New Zealand children and their family/whanau. In this role you will contribute to the overall management of Child Development by providing expert nursing care, build sustained and trusting relationships with parents/caregivers, children, and their families to support their needs, goals, and aspirations. CORE COMPETENCIES AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS 3 - 5 years' experience in a Plunket or a Well Child role Current NZ Annual practising certificate with up-to-date nursing knowledge Strong focus on providing child and family centred care Outpatient/Primary Care nursing experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
