About the Role As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring, life - support therapies, and complex clinical interventions. Working within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will undertake comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, and deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care in a dynamic and fast - paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your critical care expertise while caring for some of the hospital's most complex patients. You will work alongside experienced clinicians, contribute to exceptional patient and whānau outcomes, and play a key role in maintaining excellence in intensive care nursing. About the Team/Service/Location Our Intensive Care Unit provides specialist care for critically ill patients requiring advanced treatment and close monitoring. About you Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate. A minimum of four years’ nursing experience within a Critical Care Unit and at least five years’ acute nursing experience. Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a high - acuity environment. A commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and delivering exceptional patient-centred care. Desirable: Experience caring for critically ill paediatric patients. Desirable: Experience with CRRT and ICP monitoring. Desirable: A current PDRP portfolio.
