Summer Intern – Electricity Design & Protection (Nov 2026) We’re on the lookout for 2nd year and above Engineering students who are keen to roll up their sleeves and get some hands-on experience in the electricity sector this summer. These positions will mainly be based in New Plymouth, but we do have some roles in Wellington, Tauranga and Palmerston North. We're particularly interested to hear from students with links to these locations. You’ll be joining our Electricity Design & Proetction team, helping with a key piece of work involving integrating protection data, preparing simple protection settings, substation projects and integrating data. It’s a great chance to learn how design decisions support the wider electricity system and see how your studies apply in the real world. About you Studying Electrical, Mechatronics, or a similar Engineering discipline (2nd year and above) Have strong attention to detail and enjoy making sense of technical data Comfortable working with systems and software Bring a bit of initiative and are open to learning from a supportive team What's in it for you?
