Strategic Treasurer - Community Sports Club (Hybrid)

Hybrid 4mo ago , from SEEK Volunteer New Zealand Kapiti Gymnastics Club is looking for a Treasurer to join its Board and help keep the club financially organised. This role involves managing the weekly pay run through Xero, monitoring cash flow, and supporting the Board to make sound financial decisions so the club can continue providing great opportunities for young people in our community. The Treasurer also works with the club’s external accountants to prepare and lodge year-end accounts, and supports the Club Administrator with book-keeping queries. A handover will be provided to help you get started. This role would suit someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working with financial information. It may particularly suit a retired accountant or someone with financial/Treasurer experience who would like to contribute their skills to a busy community sports club. While most of the role can completed from home, the Treasurer will need to be based in the Kapiti area to attend board meetings and provide support to the Club Administrator.
