As a casual position, there are no guaranteed hours or days; you willbe covering sick (on call) and annual leave. Shifts are across Monday - Sunday;mornings, afternoons and nights. Inthis role, you will be responsible for: Supporting the Registered Nurse Assisting in the kitchen to prepare meals Assisting the patients with personal cares, activities Helping to maintain a high standard of cleaning in thehospital. Aboutthe Service DarfieldCommunity Hospital has 11 beds for providing palliative care, transition tohome and respite care of the elderly for our local community. Weare a friendly small team in a rural hospital setting, comprising RegisteredNurses, Healthcare Assistants, a Gardener/ Maintenance person, allied healthinvolvement, Older Persons Health and Palliative care support. AboutYou Excellent communication and interpersonal skills andthe ability to engage well with others Ability to work efficiently and effectively in amultidisciplinary team Have an empathetic and caring nature Ideally experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar Previous food preparation experience is desirable.
