Production Manager – Experienced Joinery Professional Rangiora, Waimakariri Millbrook Kitchens is a respected kitchen joinery company based in Rangiora, Waimakariri. We are passionate about kitchens and getting things right. We take pride in the high-quality design, manufacture and installation of kitchens, household joinery and commercial fit-outs. With a modern factory, quality machinery and hardware, and a strong reputation for delivering bespoke joinery, we are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our factory and installation teams. This is a key senior leadership role for someone who understands joinery production from start to finish and is ready to take ownership of planning, people, quality, delivery and continuous improvement. About the role As Production Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of joinery production and installation. You will ensure the team is safely resourced, organised and supported to deliver high-quality work on time and to client expectations.Normal working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the production schedule and aligning production capability with installation requirements Planning labour, materials, inventory and external resources to meet demand Leading, supporting and developing the factory and installation teams Allocating work and monitoring progress, quality, deadlines and remedial work Coordinating inwards and outwards goods, suppliers, subcontractors and installers Interpreting drawings, specifications and CAD information for the production team Maintaining strong health and safety, environmental and housekeeping standards Monitoring production data, labour requirements, costs and performance Working closely with the Managing Director, Senior Leadership Team and other departments to improve systems, communication and results Managing facilities, equipment maintenance and factory presentation About you You will be a confident, practical and highly organised leader with a strong background in joinery manufacturing. You will enjoy working alongside your team while also being able to plan ahead, solve problems and keep production moving. To be successful, you will bring: At least 15 years’ experience in the joinery industry, including at least 5 years in a management role Extensive experience in joinery production, factory management and installation coordination Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, tools, machinery and production processes The ability to confidently interpret and advise on CAD drawings Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving skills A strong focus on quality, safety, efficiency and customer outcomes Proven people leadership skills, including performance management and team development Clear and respectful communication skills Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems A positive, hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure Why Millbrook Kitchens?
