About The Role We are seeking a skilled Precast Team Leader to step into a hands‑on leadership position within our concrete pipe plant. In this role, you will work with advanced Dry Cast and Wet Cast technology, guiding a capable team to ensure quality output and regulatory compliance. This is a permanent, full‑time position based in Papakura, with working hours from Monday to Friday. As the Precast Team Leader, you will oversee daily operations and lead your team towards achieving excellence while maintaining a strong safety culture. If you have experience as a go‑to person on the production line and have some supervisory experience, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your leadership career. Requirements To succeed in this role, you should bring the following qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leading-hand experience in manufacturing, precast, or a similar hands‑on environment Strong people skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and set clear expectations for your team A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control A commitment to best practices in health and safety Effective communication skills, with confidence in collaborating with various stakeholders Proficiency in computer literacy, including MS Office and relevant production systems What You Will Do In your role as Precast Team Leader, you will be responsible for: Leading and supporting a production team on the factory floor Conducting pre‑pour and post‑pour checks to ensure product quality Ensuring that all precast concrete products are manufactured in accordance with established standards Reading and interpreting technical drawings to guide production Managing day‑to‑day workflow and assigning routine tasks to the team Ordering and managing concrete ready‑mix loads Upholding strong health and safety standards and promoting a zero‑harm culture Supporting operator training and capability development Communicating effectively with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams Benefits By joining our team, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including: Being part of the Fletcher Building Group An attractive salary package starting from $70,000 per annum Staff discounts at PlaceMakers, Mico, Southern Cross, and many more Access to an Employee Education Fund for staff and dependents A parental leave policy designed to support employees in balancing work and family life We value diversity and believe it strengthens our team.
