About the role | Ko te mahi nei You’ll be working in a busy, supportive team environment with direct access to a diverse range of infrastructure design experts. The variety of projects you work on will give you the opportunity to make your mark on our City's public structures. Our team's specialist work areas include: Transport structures such as retaining walls, pole foundations and bridges Marine structures such as jetties, wharves and coastal protection Three waters structures such as culverts, drains, reservoirs and pump-stations Small to medium community buildings Parks, arts, heritage and recreational structures Reporting to the Team Leader (Structural Engineering), your tasks will include:- Providing structural design to enable the delivery of the Council's capital programme Provide pre-design investigation and post-design structural engineering advice to Council Business Units Manage projects and construction contracts Support the Senior Structural Engineers as well as the rest of the Technical Services and Design Department. About you | Ko Koe Tēnei Bachelor of Engineering (BE Civil) or equivalent Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or close to and professional body membership, such as MIPENZ. Minimum of 6 years of relevant post-graduate structural engineering experience in civil and building structure at least 3 years experience in a similar role in a large-scale/complex organisation. Experience with consultation and managing partnerships internally and externally. Engineering experience in city infrastructure structures will be a particular advantage What's in it for you? Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
