Mechanical Assembly Technician

Jackson Enterprises are seeking a motivated and reliable Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our growing engineering team. This hands-on role involves the assembly and plumbing of truck and trailer bodies, installation of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with vehicles, equipment, and custom-built engineering solutions. The successful applicant will need to be able to retain and recall information accurately. Key responsibilities Assemble truck and trailer bodies to engineering specifications. Install / Wire lighting Systems Install and plumb hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Fit components including tanks, pumps, valves, hoses, and accessories. Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions. Carry out testing, fault-finding, and quality checks. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Work collaboratively with fabrication, welding, and engineering teams. About you Experience in mechanical assembly, vehicle fitting, engineering, or a related trade. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic and wiring systems Ability to read and interpret Schematics Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full driver's license (preferred). Competitive remuneration based on experience.
