HR Manager

Own the full HR function and make a real impact across the business. Varied role covering both strategic and operational HR. Opportunity to work closely with leaders and shape people initiatives. We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the full HR function within a growing business. You’ll manage the full employee lifecycle, providing hands‑on support across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policies, and culture initiatives. You’ll be a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, bringing a practical and solutions‑focused approach to HR. What you’ll be doing: Manage the end‑to‑end employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to offboarding. Provide advice and support on employment relations, performance management and HR matters. Develop and maintain HR policies, processes and systems to support business needs. Partner with leaders to build a positive workplace culture and improve employee engagement. Manage recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing and coordinating new hires. Support organisational development initiatives, training and employee wellbeing programmes. Ensure compliance with NZ employment legislation and best practice HR processes. What we’re looking for: Previous experience in a HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role. Strong knowledge of NZ employment legislation and experience managing ER matters. Confident working autonomously and taking ownership of the HR function. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels. A practical, proactive approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.
