Job Description

We're seeking an experienced and creative Lead Advisor, Learning and Development to join our team. You'll be designing, developing and implementing learning and capability frameworks and programmes for our Enabling Communities prototype. Our current mahi includes creating online and in-person training for mātua atawhai, rangatahi and staff, working in partnership with our Practice Lead and Production team. We have relationships with mokopuna and whānau, hapū, hāpori and across agencies that are critical to success in this space. Your role will be to nurture these relationships and ensure our learning programmes are well-informed, relevant and impactful. As Lead Advisor, Learning and Development you'll be: Designing and leading learning and capability strategies, frameworks and programmes Building strong relationships with Oranga Tamariki and social services partners Embedding tamariki-centred practice and te ao Māori across our learning content This is a full time, fixed term role to 30 June 2027 , based in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland or Te Tai Tokerau/Northland, with travel to Kaikohe required. You're passionate about kaupapa-led mahi and have a track record of designing effective learning and capability programmes. You have experience leading the development of learning strategies, ideally in the social sector and are comfortable working in a complex, evolving environment. You're a strong relationship-builder, able to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, leaders and learners across the organisation. You feel comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery of online and in-person training. We have a high trust working environment and are seeking someone who will fit into our team of hard working, kaupapa driven, dedicated individuals. You'll be based in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland or Te Tai Tokerau/Northland, with travel to our Kaikohe office required from time to time. You'll also be part of an organisation that has over 30 years’ experience of providing social services across the rohe. Ngāpuhi Iwi Social Services provides a range of support and services including youth services, family harm support, care and mātua atawhai services and more.
