Teacher Aide – Mākara Model School - Working 1:1 with a student Mākara Model School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Teacher Aide to join our team. This role is for 10 hours per week for term 3, with the potential to increase to 20 hours per week in the future. The successful applicant will work predominantly one-to-one with a student with additional learning and support needs, helping them to engage positively in learning and school life. Key responsibilities Work one-to-one with a student with additional learning and support needs Help the student engage positively in learning and school life Work collaboratively with teachers and whānau Follow guidance and support plans About you Must have own transport as there is no public transport to Mākara Calm, patient, and nurturing Builds positive relationships with children Enjoys being active and participating in sports and outdoor activities Has an interest in board games and other engaging learning activities Flexible, dependable, and able to follow guidance and support plans Positive attitude and willingness to learn Previous experience working with children or students with additional needs would be an advantage, but is not essential About us Mākara Model School is a small rural school with a strong sense of community and a commitment to ensuring every child thrives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
