Wallaceville House Accommodation and Wedding Venue – Upper Hutt, North Island Upper Hutt, Wellington Housekeeping (Hospitality & Tourism) Casual About the Role Wallaceville House is looking to expand our housekeeping team and is seeking reliable Casual Housekeepers to join us. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping things clean, organised and welcoming for guests while working in a friendly, supportive small-team environment. As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in ensuring our guest rooms and public areas are maintained to a high standard, helping create a comfortable and enjoyable stay for every guest. What You'll Be Doing As part of our housekeeping team, you will: Clean and service guest rooms and bathrooms to a high standard Make beds, replace linen and replenish guest amenities Wash, dry and fold towels and other designated laundry items Prepare bed linen for collection by our commercial laundry provider and receive clean linen deliveries Clean kitchens, kitchenettes and public areas, including the guest kitchen and guest laundry Monitor housekeeping supplies and advise when stock is running low Inspect rooms to ensure they are clean, well presented and ready for arriving guests Report maintenance issues, damaged items or safety concerns Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail Is reliable, honest and punctual Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team Can work independently and manage their time effectively Is physically fit and comfortable carrying out housekeeping duties Has flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays Previous housekeeping or accommodation experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided Has the legal right to work in New Zealand Hours This is a casual position, with shifts offered on an as-required basis depending on occupancy and operational requirements. Applicants with greater flexibility and availability may have the opportunity to work additional shifts, particularly during busy periods. Hourly rate based on experience, plus 8% holiday pay where applicable.
