We're looking for an experienced Welding Inspector & Materials Testing Technician to join our Technology team in East Tamaki. This role is primarily focused on welding inspection and ensuring compliance with quality standards. While the role also includes mechanical materials testing, we're looking for someone with strong welding inspection experience first and foremost—we can provide training in our materials testing processes. About the role Testing and inspecting steel material and product to ensure it is meeting applicable standards Conducting weld inspections and non-destructive testing. Ensuring compliance with relevant welding and product standards. Performing mechanical testing of steel products. Recording and reporting test results. Supporting quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. About you A recognised welding trade qualification. Be experienced in working in labs and an understanding of quality systems Be hands on with strong attention to detail. Experience in welding inspection and non-destructive testing. Excellent communication and reporting skills. A commitment to quality and health & safety. Work on products used in major New Zealand infrastructure projects.
