Delivery Driver, Customer Services - Trade Counter Trade Direct Auckland South – Wiri, North Island Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Customer focused Delivery Driver to join our small team. Based at our Manukau depot, this role involves driving a commercial delivery van to deliver bags, buckets, and miscellaneous interior construction products to customers’ homes and building sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely and professional service while maintaining a strong customer focus. This is a physical role that requires heavy lifting, as well as picking and packing orders at the depot. You will also be responsible for planning efficient delivery routes and determining the sequence of delivery drops to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction. The role involves approximately 70% of the day dedicated to delivery and 30% to behind-the-counter sales and service. 7am start. 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Drive a commercial delivery van from the Manukau depot to customer locations. Deliver bags, buckets, and interior construction products to homes and building sites. Perform heavy lifting and handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Pick and pack orders accurately at the depot. Plan delivery routes and sequence drops to ensure efficient and timely service. Provide a high level of customer service, interacting with clients professionally and courteously both on-site and at the trade counter. Ensure the vehicle and equipment are maintained and report any issues promptly. Skills and Attributes: Physically fit and capable of performing heavy lifting and manual tasks. Motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic. Customer-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to plan and organize delivery routes effectively.
