The Internship: During this summer internship, you will work closely with our highly skilled teams and participate in a variety of projects. This experience will provide you with practical knowledge and insights into the electrical industry, enhancing your technical skills and laying a solid foundation for your future career. The Orion Internship Programme runs from November 2026 to February 2027. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components. Conduct research and analyse data to support project objectives. Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on project progress. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise. Assist with crucial business planning tasks, including forecasting and scenario modelling. Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations as required. Gain practical experience and apply your knowledge in a professional setting. Participate in substation site visits and gain valuable fieldwork experience. Engage in Learning and Development workshops. Work closely with experienced professionals who will mentor and guide you. Contribute to meaningful operational projects and make a real impact. Enhance your technical and professional skills through ongoing feedback and guidance. Network with industry experts and build valuable connections. Obtain your First Aid certificate. About You: Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (NZQA). Strong technical knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering principles. Proficient in relevant software tools and programming languages. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Curiosity and a passion for the energy sector.
