Finance Officer - Accounts Receivable Finance | Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University Palmerston North Join Massey University's Financial Operations team and play an important role in delivering high-quality services that support Massey's student population We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Finance Officer - Accounts Receivable to provide accurate and efficient accounts receivable and debt management services. This role is responsible for managing student and general debtor accounts, supporting debt collection activities, processing financial transactions and providing excellent service to a diverse range of stakeholders. About the Role As a key member of the Financial Operations team, you will: Manage student and general debtor accounts in line with University policies and procedures. Monitor outstanding debt and undertake collection activities within agreed timeframes. Respond to enquiries from students, departments and external customers, providing professional advice and support. Coordinate debt collection activities and liaise with external collection agencies where required. Maintain accurate records and ensure all interactions are appropriately documented. Process invoices, credit notes, payments, journals and account adjustments accurately and efficiently. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support best-practice financial processes. What We’re Looking For You will bring: Experience in accounts receivable, debt management, or similar. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Sound problem-solving and organisational abilities. Experience working with financial systems and Microsoft Office applications. The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and service standards. A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement. Prior experience working at Massey University, or within a similar tertiary education environment, would be highly regarded. Why Massey? Salary band: $51,554 - $75,351 per annum (Appointments will be made within the salary band based on skills, experience and internal relativities.)
