We have a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) opportunity for a motivated Lecturer to make significant impact and develop their career in teaching, scholarship, and service. We’re open to expertise across areas relevant to our Marketing and International Business Department and are particularly interested in applicants who can contribute to our teaching in marketing research and digital marketing. The ability to teach data-driven strategy and marketing in global business contexts would be an added advantage. Your contributions to programme and course development will support our commitment to continuous –improvement and AUT’s identity as an applied university. You will teach across programmes as assigned by the Head of Department and be comfortable using digital resources to enhance learning. Key responsibilities include contributing to designing study programmes, advancing pedagogical approaches, developing innovative and industry-relevant teaching methods and materials, and assessing student learning. You will be expected to conduct pedagogical research and must maintain strong industry relevance through active engagement with external organisations. About you | Ko wai koe At AUT, academic staff combine teaching, research and engagement to create meaningful impact. You will work closely with students, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to projects with industry, community and academic partners. We’re looking for academics with curiosity, energy and openness to new ideas, who are committed to collegiality, cultural humility and respect for Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Indigenous peoples and diverse communities. Experience contributing to Indigenous, equity or inclusion-focused initiatives is highly valued. We welcome applications from academics committed to applied, research-informed and industry-relevant teaching. The selection criteria sought are: 1. Qualification: A completed PhD in Marketing or a closely related discipline or a PhD expected to be completed within 12 months. Current professional or industry certifications relevant to areas such as digital marketing, marketing analytics or research would be desirable. 2. Teaching: An early career academic will ideally have at least some previous teaching assistant experience. More experienced candidates will have previous lecturing experience, evidence of curriculum development and preferably experience supervising applied, industry-based or work-integrated learning projects. 3. Scholarship and Professional Practice: An expressed specific desire to be a teaching-focused academic who will undertake activity as specified to maintain professional currency. 4.
