This business has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality civil and structural projects through strong leadership, technical capability, and collaborative relationships across the industry. With a solid forward workload and continued growth, they are looking to bring an experienced Site Manager into the team. This role will suit someone who enjoys leading crews onsite, driving programme delivery, and working closely with project teams to achieve successful outcomes across technically challenging projects. The Role You will play a key role in the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on structures, bridges, retaining walls, rail, and urban infrastructure works. The position requires a hands-on and proactive Site Manager who can confidently lead site operations, coordinate subcontractors, manage programmes, and maintain strong standards across safety, quality, and productivity. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site operations across civil infrastructure projects Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, and materials Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to drive project delivery Oversee site scheduling, sequencing, and resource coordination Monitor quality assurance and ensure compliance with project specifications Lead health & safety onsite and maintain strong safety culture Identify and resolve site issues proactively to minimise delays and disruptions Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders onsite What We're Looking For We're keen to speak with candidates who have: Proven experience managing civil construction sites within New Zealand Strong structures experience, particularly with bridges and retaining walls Experience across rail and urban infrastructure projects highly regarded Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and subcontractors effectively Sound understanding of health & safety, QA, and construction methodologies Practical mindset with the ability to solve problems and keep projects moving Desired Background Civil construction or infrastructure background Experience working for a civil contractor delivering complex projects Relevant industry qualifications beneficial, although practical experience is equally valued Strong organisational and programme management skills What's on Offer Opportunity to work on major infrastructure and structures projects Strong pipeline of secured work Supportive and experienced leadership team Competitive salary package Long-term career development opportunities within a growing contractor This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager wanting to join a respected contractor with quality projects, strong culture, and genuine career progression opportunities.
